morning post

August 12, 2008

It’s 3 o’ clock now, and I’ve just sent an email to my lecturer regarding my assignment to do.

Two days ago, I got a full album of The Presets’ Apocalypse (or is it Apocalypto?) and Van She’s new album V. And both are awesome Australian band. My two cents? Apocalypto is good, you know the electro-post-disco stuff goodness. Haven’t listened to all of the tracks but I’ve got few favorites like My People and The Boy Is In Love. On the other hand, V, sounds like a little bit shoegaze (check out The Sea) but most of the tracks are pop-electro, which reminds me like Cut Copy. But what differ them from Cut Copy is that they use less flanger than Cut Copy, so the they sound more like a band rather than a synthesyzed electro band. You know what I mean, do you?

Anyway, you can call this a post that is posted for the sake of posting. Right, gotta go to sleep now. Good night citizens of the waking world.

It was raining heavily this afternoon. And it still drizzles a bit now.

Anyway, I’ve bought Geometry Wars 2 just now, and it was totally awesome. The first Geometry Wars was one of my reasons of getting the Xbox, and now the sequel is out so let’s do a quick review of this game. The developer really amped up all of the colours and the lighting, it makes your eyes pop, literally. But the most attractive thing about this sequel is they have new soundtracks! Yes thats a plural! The first game only uses one background music, which is by itself, is good. But now they’ve added a couple new electro-trance songs into the game and a remix of the first’s BGM. Talking about the gameplay, they’ve added new game modes, new enemies, geoms (taken from Geometry Wars Galaxies, of Wii), which pretty much refreshes the franchise. However, fear not if you do not understand any of these things that I’m babbling, in short, I give you my recommendation to those who own a 360 system to get this beautiful piece of art.

Btw, I’ve submitted my assignment today and I think I’m going to have a practice with my band at 6 o’ clock, but I’m not too sure.
